Taken from the passenger list of the S.S. Gera, which departed Bremen, Germany, and arrived in Baltimore, Maryland on May 26, 1891. Shows Frank Jankowski, age 22, laborer, Prussian citizenship, destination Michigan. The age fits, but the other information is far too vague. The "destination Michigan" doesn't fit, although the next line below shows "destination Wisconsin". It is possible that the person recording the information misprinted it. Or, perhaps there was a reason for him to go to Michigan before Wisconsin. I do know that some of our Brodzinski relatives did that. At any rate, this record is only a possibility, and I have not been able to confirm that this is indeed our Frank Jankowski. Most likely we will never know for sure, because the Bremen departing passenger lists were destroyed many years ago in a fire. However, I have been unable to find any other matching Frank Jankowski records.
