Dominik Lingnowski Family Immigration

Below is the immigration passenger list for Dominik Lingnowski aboard the S.S. Mosel. They sailed from Bremen, Germany, departing sometime around September 26, 1873. The ship arrived in New York City on October 10, 1873. The passengers listed include Dominik age 30, his wife Catharina age 27, and son Franz age 3. The listing of Franz is a mystery, because Dominik's son Franz died in Poland in 1869. I do not know who this Franz is. It's possible that this is Dominik's nephew (son of Frank), who was born about the same time as Dominik's son Franz. In fact, all four of Dominik and Catharina's children died before the family left Poland.

The S.S. Mosel was a part of the North German-Lloyd Company. It could accommodate 896 passengers and sailed at a speed of 12 knots. Her maiden voyage began on January 4, 1873, so this was a fairly new ship when the Lingnowski family boarded. A picture of the ship is included below.
